 WHO ARE WE? 

The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory

SoHO is a mission of international cooperation between ESA and NASA. It was launched on December 2, 1995 from Kennedy Space Center. After a few months' flight it approached its final orbit, in proximity of the so-called L1 point, where the force of gravity from the Earth and from the Sun are equal and opposite.

SoHo carries a large array of instruments for observation of the Solar interior and of its atmosphere, and the solar wind. These include three instruments for observing solar oscialltions :
